Enable and Manage Notifications in Google Wallet

Definition

With this feature, devices linked to a Google Wallet account can receive notifications directly within Google Wallet. Important updates, status changes, or service messages appear right where users need them most.

Feature Overview

The Google Wallet integration extends existing notification channels (e.g., email, in-app) by adding direct push notifications in Google Wallet. Users stay informed without opening the sqanit app or the customer portal.

Requirements

  • The device is added to Google Wallet.
  • The user allows notifications in Google Wallet.
  • The organization has enabled the Wallet integration.

How to Enable Google Wallet Notifications

  1. Open Device Settings in the sqanit portal.
  2. Select the device and choose Link with Google Wallet.
  3. Authenticate with your Google account.
  4. Enable Receive notifications in Google Wallet.

Once enabled, relevant events (e.g., status changes, maintenance messages) are shown directly in Google Wallet.

Available Notifications (Examples)

  • Device status changes (active, maintenance, deactivated)
  • Newly assigned tasks or service events
  • System or security alerts

How to Disable

  1. Open the Google Wallet app.
  2. Navigate to the respective device.
  3. Select Manage notifications.
  4. Disable Receive notifications for this device.

Note: If a device is removed from Google Wallet, Wallet notifications are disabled automatically. Previously received messages remain visible in the Wallet history.
