How to get an API Key

1. Sign Up or Log In to OpenAI

Visit the OpenAI API website (link)

• f you don’t have an account, click Sign Up and register using your email, Google, or Microsoft account (picture)
• If you already have an account, click Log In and enter your credentials (picture)

2. Add a Payment Method

• Click Settings (gear icon in the top-right corner) (picture)(picture)
• Select Billing from the side menu (picture)
• Click Add payment details (picture) and choose Company or Individual (picture)
• Enter your payment details and click Continue (picture)
• Set an amount for your initial credit purchase and configure any payment options as needed (picture)(picture)

3. Create an API Key

• Select API keys from the side menu (picture)
• Click + Create new secret key (picture)
• Enter a name and make sure to set the permissions to "All"
• Click Create secret key (picture)
• Save your API key immediately, as you won’t be able to view it again! (picture)(picture)

4. Use Your API Key

• On the sqanit platform, select My Company from the side menu
• Open the Settings tab
• In the OpenAI Settings section, enter your API key (picture) and save

5. Manage Your Usage

• Monitor your credit usage and balance to prevent interruptions to the AI Assistant. It may make sense for your company to enable automatic credit recharges to ensure uninterrupted service (picture).
