Dynamic Code

Dynamic Code

Definition:
A dynamic code, also referred to as a "Creation Code", allows users to create new entities (codes, devices, and customers) without needing an account on the platform. This functionality offers additional options for rollout strategies and user engagement.

Structure:
Dynamic codes are created at the template level and are inseparably linked to a template.

Behavior:

  • Immediate Access:
    • Upon scanning, code users are directed into a creation flow, which guides them through the creation of an access code, a customer, and a device.
  • Unlimited Access Points:
    • Each scan of a dynamic code can initiate the creation of a new access point to the platform.
    • If a user has already created an entity and scans the same dynamic code again on the same mobile device, the system recognizes this and can redirect the user to the previously created entity if desired.
    • A single dynamic code can generate an unlimited number of individual entities or communication channels.

Purpose:

  • Simplifies onboarding and creation processes by allowing external users (without platform accounts) to contribute to these actions.
  • Expands the platform’s use cases and facilitates flexible deployment strategies.

Key Benefits:

  • Independence:
    • Reduces the need for platform operators to manually create entities.
  • Flexibility:
    • Supports diverse use cases, including onboarding new customers.
  • Distribution:
    • Enables the creation of numerous entities or access points with a single dynamic code (e.g., shared via marketing materials).
