Introduction
The Default Input Language setting defines the primary language used for content creation when editing text within the platform. This ensures consistency in translations and prevents incorrect or missing entries.
Note
This setting only affects content creation. Code users are not impacted.
How to Access the Default Input Language Setting
- Navigate to MY COMPANY in the side menu.
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Locate the Languages section. (picture) (picture)
What is the Default Input Language?
- When a user enters edit mode, the top input field will always be assigned to the selected Default Input Language. (picture)
- Since different users may have different settings, this configuration helps streamline content creation and avoid missing translations.
Default Input Language Options
There are six different Default Input Language settings available. The chosen setting determines which language appears first in the input fields when editing content.

(1) Company Language matching the Session Language or (2) Application Language | 1. If a Company Language matches* the Session Language, it is used. If no match is available: Application Language. 2. Company Languages in the set order |
(1) Company Language matching the Session Language or (2) Session Language | 1. If a Company Language matches* the Session Language, it is used. If no match is available: Session Language. 2. Company Languages in the set order |

*Matching Languages:
Languages that fall into the same language category are considered matching.
Examples:
de-DE, de-AT, de-CH → DE
en-GB, en-US, en-AU → EN
